It's important that you cut the grass in a way that keeps it healthy. When you cut it too much, it can stunt the growth and even make the grass die. This is because short grass doesn't allow the soil to retain as much water before it is evaporated. It's best to cut the grass only about once a week and to only cut off about 1/3 of an inch to maintain a good grass length.

However, you need to be sure that you plan for this successfully so that you don't end up making it difficult to your grass.
